Wire Lace – Pin Ambrose

Working mainly with black copper wire, Pin uses bobbin lace stitches to create wire lace, producing results that bring texture and shape with changes of shade and depth.  These wire structures are constructed using traditional methods using a lace pillow and flat head pins. Lace prints mimic those intertwining wires in dyes, flocking and embossing.  Pin takes her 3D wire lace back into 2D with the application of heat transfer print using disperse dyes, creating a unique print that marks pattern…

Jim Coggins – A Retrospective

Jim Coggins is a retired chemical engineer who lives in Stony Stratford.  He took up painting for the first time in 2010 when he attended classes organised by Milton Keynes Council's Adult Continuing Education department and at the Great Linford Arts Centre.  This gave him the opportunity to experiment with different formats and mediums and where he discovered his preference for painting in watercolour.
