Teddy Bears’ Picnic – Story Teller Alison Molyneux
Saturday, July 5, 2014 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm
Suitable for children aged 3-6 years. Usual admission fees apply. £2 per child for craft materials.
Please don’t be put off by the weather, if it rains on Saturday we can be flexible. The Cowper and Newton Museum has wonderful inside spaces and a gazebo in the garden area. We have craft activities, a Daisy Treasure hunt and a drawing competition, plus dressing up in Georgian costumes and old ‘treasures’ to touch and explore. I will find a quiet, dry space to share my stories with the children either out in the garden or inside in one of the lovely rooms. Clare Doughty one of the illustrators I work with will also be there helping with crafts. Please come along and enjoy with your teddy and your picnic- hope to see you on Saturday. Fun starts at 10.30 am at the Cowper and Newton Museum, Olney.
Alison, author of 9 picture books will be signing, dedicating and selling her books on the day! (£6 each)
Alison Molyneux will be here from 10:30 – 2pm, reading stories to children throughout this time.
Bring a picnic and lovely weather. Enjoy the gorgeous gardens and dressing up in Georgian costumes. Crafts here too!
