Since gaining her degree in Fine Art (BA Hons) Kate Wyatt has become renowned for her wildlife paintings which capture the real essence of some of Britain’s most popular mammals. She works primarily in watercolour using the particular chemistry of this medium to interpret the movements and characteristics of her subjects.
Her finished paintings combine a skilful mix of precise drawing combined with a sprightly looseness of style. She has recently been developing her own interpretation on world myths and shamanic rituals particularly those which concern birds and animals, a subject in which she has a great interest, whilst still retaining her passion about dance (having enjoyed a former career as a professional flamenco dancer) and is combining all of this within her new work.
She is also working on a children’s book which she has written and is now illustrating.
Kate’s paintings are held in many private collections worldwide and she has had many successful exhibitions.
Kate has established herself as a gifted wildlife artist and continues to delight with her unique interpretations of nature.
